An art program in the slums of Mumbai is more than creativity it’s a lifeline. For children facing poverty, overcrowding, and limited opportunities, art provides a safe space to express emotions, build self-worth, and develop essential life skills. It fosters focus, critical thinking, and collaboration, while offering a break from daily hardships. On a broader level, it strengthens communities, celebrates local culture, and reduces the risk of youth falling into harmful cycles. By helping children dream beyond their circumstances, this program transforms art into a powerful tool for hope, healing, and change.
Art Masti was created to honour a life lost to cancer by helping young lives thrive through the power of art. Designed for children in underserved communities, the program removes financial barriers to creative expression — making art accessible, joyful, and transformative. Implemented across 10 public schools in Mumbai, Art Masti provided everything from pencils and paper to bangles, glass paints, and fabric colors. For many children, it was their first time holding such materials — and their response was extraordinary. They embraced the opportunity with passion, producing artwork that reflected not only talent, but resilience and hope.
Our capacity building initiatives support small and medium-sized non-profits that lack dedicated staff for key functions like HR, communications, and volunteer management. We help these organizations set up effective systems and processes to streamline operations, reduce workload, and improve efficiency. This will strengthen team collaboration, reduce dependency on individuals, and create a more resilient infrastructure, leading to greater stability, better resource management, and the ability to scale programs for a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
