HISTORY – WHY BCPT WAS SET UP
The Bombay Community Public Trust (BCPT) was founded in July 1991, inspired by the vision of the Late Mr. Hasmukhbhai T. Parekh. With the support of a group of like-minded individuals known to him, BCPT was established as a people-driven trust to address Mumbai’s growing social needs.
Their aim was to build a platform that brought together donors, non-profits, citizens, and corporations to collaborate for lasting social change—focusing on education, healthcare, the environment, and community development.
