Why This Matters

Stray animals are often neglected in cities due to a combination of overcrowding, lack of awareness, and limited resources. As urban areas grow, the number of stray animals increases, but the infrastructure to care for them doesn’t keep pace. Many people view strays as a nuisance rather than a community responsibility, leading to neglect or even mistreatment. Additionally, busy city life and the lack of pet ownership education contribute to the issue. This neglect not only harms the animals, leaving them vulnerable to disease, hunger, and injury, but it also poses public health risks and strains local animal control resources.
Dog kennels play a crucial role in addressing the stray dog crisis by providing temporary shelter, care, and medical attention to animals in need. They offer a safe space for strays to recover, receive vaccinations, and be spayed or neutered, helping to control the population. In addition to shelter, kennels collaborate with adoption agencies to rehome dogs, giving them a chance at a better life. These interventions help reduce the number of stray animals on the streets and prevent further overpopulation. By promoting responsible pet ownership and offering rehabilitation, dog kennels are essential in creating a sustainable solution to the stray dog problem.

Our Intervention

The Difference We’ve Made

The kennels provide a safe haven where dogs receive essential medical care and attention, they might not have access to on the streets. They offer a secure environment for rest, recovery, and healing from injuries or illnesses. With the addition of two more kennels, our capacity to treat and care for more dogs in need has significantly improved. These extra spaces allow us to admit and shelter a greater number of animals, directly addressing the growing issue of stray and abandoned dogs in our community. Ultimately, the new kennels are a vital step in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for more animals in need.
