Noshir has had a close bond with BCPT since its inception, starting as Executive Secretary and working hand-in-hand with the Founder to shape the organization’s early development. His deep commitment and close collaboration with the Founder laid the foundation for BCPT’s growth, and he later became a Trustee, continuing his integral role in the organization’s journey.

Noshir is the CEO of the Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy, with 40 years of experience providing compliance advisory to nonprofits and corporate social initiatives. He serves on the advisory board of the International Center for Not-for-profit Law and as a member of the Audit Committee at the Akshay Patra Foundation. Noshir has authored several resource books, actively blogs on compliance issues for NPOs, and is a guest faculty member at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

ELIGIBITY FOR OUR GRANTS

  1. Geographic Focus: We focus on organizations serving the Mumbai area. 
  2. Scale of the Non-profit: We prioritize supporting smaller and mid-level, up-and-coming non-profits. 
  3. Community Focus: The project or program funded must benefit the 
local community. 
  4. Clear Mission and Impact: The organization must have a clear mission and demonstrate how the project will meet community needs with measurable outcomes. 
  5. Funding Approach: We prioritise funding to projects that are underrepresented and not heavily funded by larger organizations. 
  6. Regulatory Compliance: NGOs must have valid regulatory documents, ensuring adherence to legal, financial, and regulatory requirements. 
  7. Capacity Building Participation: NGOs that are part of the cohort of BCPT’s Capacity Building workshops are given priority.
